JOSHUA 1:9 MUG - Where the idea was born?
A year ago I went to a Leadership Conference with a number of people from our church including my 13 year old daughter Leah.
The opening session focused a simple verse of the Bible, Joshua 1:9 – "Be strong and courageous, do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you." Leah and I both were awed the power of the session, the verse and God in our lives to bring this kind of strength and courage with whatever we face in life. Last Christmas, Leah gave me a mug with that verse on it! I cried when I opened it for many reasons – mainly because it was a shared experience with my 13 year old daughter encouraging ME in my life, leadership and walk with God.
I have to tell you how much this little mug, with this daily reminder that God has all kinds of strength for me and whatever is coming up that day, has been a HUGE thing. Every morning when I open the cupboard when that mug is there I smile, feel the presence and power of God, can take out this special mug for my morning coffee.
I got thinking why shouldn’t everyone have a mug like that? Imagine what God could do each and every day!
